I didn’t see the whole movies but there is a movie called :
F/X from 1986 !, and sequel F/X2 from 1991 ! I can’t remember which one had a clown in it !
about a man who fights back against bad guys through movie special effects !
this also reminds me of a movie called The Game with Michael Douglas from 1997 ! I haven’t seen it in many years but I think there may be a clown in it , too !
